About Brandon Leigh Jacobsen
I’m a collaborative leader with over 15 years of experience working across government, education, and nonprofits. My career has been driven by a passion for building partnerships, fostering cultural sensitivity, and empowering teams to achieve their mission. Currently, I serve as the Executive Director at Nadia’s Initiative, where I focus on creating impactful programs for communities affected by conflict and supporting survivors of sexual violence. Before joining Nadia’s Initiative, I worked in the U.S. Federal Government for the Presidential Management Fellows Program, the government’s premier leadership development program for emerging leaders. I’ve also held roles with the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, the White House, and I had the opportunity to volunteer in northern Iraq, working on behalf of the Yazidis in the aftermath of the genocide. Prior to moving to Washington, DC, I was a high school teacher and the Director of Education for a skateboarding nonprofit in my hometown of Tacoma, WA.
