For our oil and gas company, I administer the insurance renewal process for our Directors & Officers liability policy, Energy package policy and our Casualty policy. This includes assembling and preparing schedules for policy applications, receiving and reviewing quotes from various state side and international carriers, and the identification of new exposures and coverage amendments. This requires an extensive knowledge of Corporate insurance programs and a vast knowledge of the oil and gas industry standards and regulations, including OSHA. I identify, quantify, and recommend mitigation on risks that may arise from pursuits. I administer workers’ compensation claims, auto liability claims and property damage claims for our company that operates in 10 states within the U.S. This includes filing and managing the claims along with coordinating with adjusters (TPA’s), creating loss runs and reviewing loss runs. I secure and maintain required bonds, letters of credit, certificates of insurance and review insurance implications for the oil and gas industry that directly impacts our company. I work with internal and external auditors to review and approve final audit reports for accuracy.
