I am of the opinion that data can be a tremendously powerful tool for the betterment of an organization, and it can be a terrific detriment to an organization if misused. The key is to carefully analyze data to generate a hypothesis rather than to manipulate data to support your opinion. It can be a fine line to walk at times, but I love going into an analysis thinking that the business is working one way, only to find out that the data supports a different hypothesis. Data analysis is my professional passion. I love it more than a gym rat loves mirrors.
