About Brandon Colle
Experienced helping professional and educationalist with a strong background working with early school-aged children through adolescence across primary and special education settings. I am an inquisitive, arts-based researcher with interests in psychoanalysis, autism, neurodivergent advocacy, cognitive development through drawing/illustration, law and ethics, and group art therapy supervision—including AI/digital and ecological approaches.Skilled in art education, mental health counseling, research, creative arts therapy, and higher education. Passionate about the integration of clinical mental health and creative expression. With a recently earned master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling with an art therapy concentration, I am actively working toward licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC), licensure as an Associate Art Therapist (LAAT) progressing to Licensed Professional Art Therapist (LPAT), and board certification (ATR-BC).My clinical experience spans residential treatment, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. I work as a both art therapist and counselor in a voluntary adult mental health inpatient unit and am pursuing certification as a psychoanalyst (NCPsyA) to deepen my understanding of emotional patterns and early life experiences through a modern psychoanalytic lens.Presented individual and group research-based presentations at multiple academic and professional conferences, including Caldwell University’s Annual Research and Creative Arts Day, New Jersey Counselors Association Conference (NJCA), American Art Therapy Association (AATA) Conference, and the Law and Ethics in Counseling Conference. Also facilitated a group session following Caldwell University’s Annual Art Therapy Conference.I am dedicated to advocating for the art therapy profession and to fostering meaningful communication that helps individuals explore identity, emotion, and healing through creative processes, embodying the idea that ‘let the art do the talking’ when words aren’t enough.
