ABOUT BRANDON WASHINGTON
Hey Good People! I am a student at the University of Memphis and a passionate Foster Youth Advocate, committed to creating opportunities and building a more equitable world for all. My journey has been shaped by resilience, leadership, and a deep desire to uplift others—especially those who have historically been overlooked or underestimated. Background and ExperienceThroughout my academic and advocacy journey, I have dedicated myself to giving a voice to foster youth and underserved communities. I have spoken at local and national events, including the U.S. Capitol, sharing my story and advocating for policy reforms to strengthen support systems. I also have experience in political organizing, community engagement, and leadership development, sharpening my skills in public speaking, policy analysis, and strategic outreach. Education and SkillsCurrently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Russian Language, I have developed strong analytical, communication, and cross-cultural understanding skills. My education and lived experiences have equipped me to navigate complex social and political issues with both empathy and strategy. I am skilled in advocacy, public relations, leadership development, and legislative affairs. What Drives MeAt the heart of everything I do is a commitment to equity, empowerment, and creating tangible pathways for success. I believe that every young person deserves the chance to thrive, and I’m dedicated to breaking down barriers through policy change, mentorship, and community-driven action. Can’t wait to connect with you!
