A high-performing young professional with 5+ years of experience in government relations, coordinating, and compliance management. I am passionate about advising organizations on how their business and trade practices can meet—and in some cases, exceed—compliance standards. Before entering graduate school, I enlisted in the U.S. Navy after graduating from Indiana State University in 2017, but I was discharged because of a medical injury during my training in Great Lakes, IL. After being discharged in 2018, I worked and volunteered for a state house race in Illinois, two statehouse races in Indiana, and one federal senate race in Indiana, all for the 2018 midterm election. Currently, I work for the Chicago Transit Authority as a compliance specialist in the Diversity Programs department.

   As a Compliance Coordinator, I oversee DBE compliance and reporting for CTA’s capital and professional service contracts, supporting some of the agency’s most high-profile projects, including the Red-Purple Modernization (RPM) Project. I bridge collaboration between Compliance Specialists, Procurement, and Project Management to strengthen transparency, equity, and data integrity across all program areas- Coordinate DBE compliance efforts for CTA contracts valued at over $700 million, ensuring adherence to FTA and federal DBE program requirements- Continue to oversee DBE compliance for the Red-Purple Modernization (RPM) Project, one of CTA’s largest and most complex capital improvement programs- Review and process contractor documentation, utilization data, and payment submissions to verify accuracy and maintain program integrity- Partner with internal teams to resolve compliance discrepancies and strengthen DBE participation outcomes- Manage analytics and reporting within B2GNow, providing insights for executive leadership and federal reporting requirements- Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, transparency, and communication across compliance operations.
