Involved heavily with the management of the personal tax portfolio, I work on every step of the personal tax return completion process. I also manage the Construction Industry Scheme, CT61 and P11D compliance, with elements of advice where required, particularly when looking at income extraction methods. My role also grants me the freedom to implement new systems and processes, which has contributed substantially to efficiency within the department and within the wider business. My role includes, but is not limited to- Client liaising on both compliance and advisory work- Completion and Submission of tax returns, P11Ds, CT61s, CIS monthly returns, Gross Payment Status applications (both historic and prospective) and trust tax returns- Detailed analysis of income extraction, determining the tailored best route for extraction from OMBs, using a personal custom-made excel tool- Quoting and invoicing for any PT, CIS, CT61 and P11D work- Liaising with HMRC for any client query, compliance queries and other issues.

As a recent graduate from Durham and now starting a position in my aspired role studying the ATT and CTA qualifications, I would now like to use this platform to share my ideas and help give back to those that have helped my get to where I am. This also includes those who need help too (although I certainly don’t know everything). Always up for general discussions and going for coffee with anyone interested in doing so.
