   Purchase and supply raw material to our plants across the United States to meet production requirements with consideration of overall cost, quality and timeliness of deliveries (inventory planning management). Procure materials from brokers, processors and end users with consideration to overall delivered cost. Establish monthly plan for purchased pounds and dollars. Develop new and alternative sources of supply while also maintaining supplier relationships. Negotiate contractual agreements and daily buying to drive cost savings for the Company. Communication with the plants (material needs, schedule changes, quality, etc.), lab, and other departments with the organization. Provide and analyze Purchasing reports and spreadsheets (Production Schedules, Buyer\'s Report, Price Trend, MRP, etc.). Work closely with many different departments within the organization (QA, A/P, Engineering, Logistics, Material Science, etc.). Drive continual cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives within the organization. Work in tandem with the other Category Managers to look for new potential suppliers to our raw material streams.
