I’m Brandon Ochoa, and I’ve always been the kind of person who wants to know how things work — whether that’s cloud infrastructure at scale, a self-hosted lab project, or some messy automation problem that needs solving.Over the years I’ve worn a lot of hats: cloud engineer, builder, tinkerer, and problem-solver.    Implemented an advanced AWS networking infrastructure, utilizing Amazon VPCs, subnets, routing tables, security groups, Transit Gateways, and etc to deploy a highly secure cloud fabric that includes a security inspection zone with Palo Alto Firewall virtual appliances, ensuring that all traffic to and from the cloud environment is thoroughly inspected and protected from potential security threats.• Utilized Terraform, along with Terraform Cloud and Workspaces, to define and provision AWS cloud resources as code, enabling easy replication and management of cloud infrastructure across multiple environments, and promoting consistency, reliability, and collaboration within the team.• Designed and implemented Python Lambda functions, utilizing AWS event-based automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual efforts.• Developed reusable Python scripts to automate large batch jobs, providing significant time and cost savings and improving the overall productivity of the team.• Collaborated with a team using Git, managing repositories, branches, and pull requests, ensuring that code was properly documented and up-to-date, and following best practices for version control.• Maintained clear and concise documentation, including READme files, describing the purpose and functionality of code repositories, enabling other team members to effectively utilize the code.• Coordinated with cross-functional teams, including information security, enterprise governance, application teams, product owners, and networking, to ensure seamless integration and successful implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions that meet business needs and requirements.• Employed Agile methodologies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to facilitate collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement within the team, resulting in improved delivery speed, quality, and customer satisfaction.
