Drawing from my personal journey transitioning from military service to civilian life, I co-founded Rapha Ranch Veterans Ministries, a sanctuary dedicated to holistic healing for veterans. Our mission is to provide veterans with a renewed sense of identity and purpose by integrating Jesus-centered inner healing ministry programs with equine and canine therapy on a working animal rescue ranch.In partnership with Peace Mountain Ranch, a Tennessee-based outreach led by CH Harvey Macklin, an OEF/OIF veteran chaplain and counselor, we extend our support to veterans and their families. Peace Mountain Ranch offers a safe environment where individuals can find peace, hope, and purpose through equine connection, counseling, spiritual development, and engagement in ranch activities. Collective Responsibilities- Program Development & Implementation: Our team designs and oversees comprehensive programs that combine pastoral counseling with animal-assisted therapies, addressing the health and healing of the mind, body, and soul.- Equine and Canine Therapy Coordination: We facilitate therapeutic interactions between veterans and rescue animals, leveraging the documented benefits of equine-assisted interventions.- Community Outreach & Engagement: Our team engages with local communities to raise awareness about the challenges veterans face during reintegration and promotes the ranch\'s services as a supportive resource.- Resource Management: We oversee the operations of the animal rescue component, ensuring the well-being of the animals and their effective integration into therapeutic programs.- Volunteer and Staff Collaboration: Our team leads and trains a dedicated group of staff and volunteers, fostering a compassionate environment aligned with the organization\'s mission.Through these initiatives and our collaboration with Peace Mountain Ranch, Rapha Ranch aims to empower veterans to rediscover their purpose and confidence for God\'s purpose and kingdom.
