Brandon Gesicki is a trailblazer for the cannabis industry, spearheading local government advocacy for several industry leading cannabis companies including Cookies Retail, Culture Club, EAZE, Dr. GreenThumb, Runway Gardens, and Catalyst among many others. He continues to collaborate with a variety of local counties and cities to establish regulatory ordinances for cannabis businesses. Since 2014, Brandon has also been a dynamic presence in the emerging cannabis industry, and his input was pivotal on the path to legalization in the Monterey County area. In 2016, Brandon was chief consultant for Monterey County cannabis legalization efforts, managing both the Yes on Measure Y Cannabis Ordinance and Tax campaign (which passed with 75% of the vote) and the Yes on Measure J - King City Cannabis tax measure (which passed with 80% of the vote). Brandon’s extensive knowledge of cultivation, processing, regulation, and research has kept him in high regard among industry leaders for advice and counsel. This expertise has led to Brandon being called on to guide county leadership and other interested parties in Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara Counties and throughout California, on crafting new ordinances and administrative policy. Brandon is constantly advocating for growth and clarity in cannabis business regulations and licensing across the state of California on behalf of his clients. His track record of obtaining licenses and permits is impressive, totaling over 300 acres of various cultivation licenses, and over 50 licenses for Type 7 manufacturing, distribution, delivery, and dispensary licenses. Brandon’s transparent explanations and helpful attitude regularly finds favor before Boards of Supervisor, City Councils and Planning Commissions.

Communications leader with over 20 years’ experience in public affairs, political campaign management, crisis management, strategic counsel, message development, organizational positioning, and reputation management. Adept at creating strategic communications and advocacy campaigns leveraging traditional and digital media, advertising, grassroots, and other tools. In state government during my tenure with Abel Maldonado I served at times as Senior Advisor, Chief of Staff and Communications Director. In terms of policy issues my main focuses were on Agriculture, High Tech, Energy, the Environment and Tourism. I worked in two separate areas the political campaign side and on the government policy side in each I was actively a participant in most of every major policy or political decisions my client or employer made.
