ABOUT BRANDON FOX

Environmental Planning is about more than a permitting and approvals process; it’s about understanding the world in which we live, work and play, and making positive impacts through the development of appropriate infrastructure solutions. As an Environmental Planner, RPP, MCIP, I dive deep into complex multi-disciplinary projects to identify and understand how infrastructure development impacts our environment (social, natural, economic and cultural). As a Registered Professional Planner (RPP), my focus is on completing Environmental Assessments. My “bread and butter” projects include linear infrastructure undertakings under the Environmental Assessment Act and Class EA processes. I have experience as a Project Manager and Environmental Team Lead on large multi-disciplinary teams and experience working under several delivery models including Total Project Management (TPM), Design Bid-Build (DBB), P3, Construction Manager General Contractor (CMGC), Design-Build (DB) Minor and DB Major. I have experience with: • Provincial Individual Environmental Assessments • MTO Class EA’s for Provincial Transportation Facilities (RAQS qualified) • MEA Municipal Class EA’s including Master Plan Studies • Class EA for Minor Transmission Facilities • Ontario Energy Board Environmental Guidelines for Hydrocarbon Pipelines and Facilities • Transit (metrolinx) TPAP • Renewable Energy Approvals • Healthy Active Living Assessments • Public relations and engagement programs • Coordinating multi-disciplinary teams of environmental specialists. Beyond this, I like to push my boundaries and I’ve gained experience conducting Health Planning studies including Rural Active Living Assessments, Official Plan Reviews from a Healthy, Active Living Lens and recreation related planning projects. Corporately, I am Technical Group Strategist for Dillon\'s Environmental Planning technical group. This means I am responsible for skill and profile development of a team of 30 incredible EA practitioners. I look at market trends and work to ensure our team has the skills to deliver what our clients want today and the skills to deliver what our clients will need 5, 7, 10 years down the road. I do this by staying up to date on disrupters in the industry and growing technical skills in house to deliver our best, highest quality products.
