ABOUT BRANDON HAUER

I am a Product Manager with experience working cross-functionally with scientific (pharmaceutical and academic scientists), business (go-to-market, sales), and technical roles (engineering, data scientists), bringing a scientific approach to understanding user pain points and solutions.I have spent several years working with tech start-ups, using my scientific expertise and product experience to help them focus on three main questions-WHO is their product for?(their users)-What PROBLEM does their product solve?(their pain points)-How is their product/ solution BETTER than alternatives?(their value proposition)These are questions that came up on every grant I applied for as an academic (why should an agency fund me?) and on every product I’ve owned and managed (how do I ensure this drives business and user value?).I have experience working with SaaS and web products, generative AI and LLMs, health and wellness tech, and an extensive background in life sciences (in particular, neuroscience 🧠).In my current role as a Product Manager, I wear a few different hats every day. Building tools for scientists of course requires a deep scientific understanding, but I am successful because I excel at working cross-functionally. I facilitate alignment across our teams using that scientific knowledge, while incorporating the perspectives of our marketing, engineering, leadership, and other teams on a daily basis, all to champion the best possible user experience.Beyond all that, I love skiing, video games, heavy metal music, and unfortunately, chronically underperforming sports teams.Feel free to reach out if you want to connect, or chat about all things product, science, or any of the above!
