About Brandon Drescher
I am an Account Manager at Leica Microsystems covering the academic institutions across the southern half of Boston, the Cape, and all of Worcester and RI. Former postdoc at Brown University where I studied the cytoskeletal system in trypanosomes using ExM, SIM, and EM (TEM and SBF-SEM). Former postdoc in a collaborative Connectomics project between UMass Amherst and Jeff Lichtman\'s lab at Harvard University. Educated and studied in the fields of marine and estuarine biology, phycology, neurobiology, and microscopy. Expertise in microscopic techniques (light, fluorescent, electron) and microCT to image structures in a variety of biological organisms and better understand functionality based on morphology. Experience with molecular biological techniques, cell culturing (e.g, mammalian), and viral research (BSL-2, BSL-3). I have designed and managed labs, trained dozens of undergrad and graduate students, and have seven years of college teaching experience.
