As the only IP Transactions Counsel at Walmart, I manage the team handling complex intellectual property and technology transactions, strategic agreements, and patent infringement matters. I serve as the lead negotiator for artificial intelligence terms, chair the open source legal review committee, and serve as lead IP counsel for commercialization initiatives. My primary focus areas include artificial intelligence and business intelligence systems.I provide executive leadership with strategic advice on IP protection, trade secrets, and risk mitigation, while also shaping technology roadmaps. My experience spans the full spectrum of intellectual property, including development, protection, licensing, commercialization, and litigation. I also bring significant expertise in commercial contracts and technology transactions across industries such as start‑ups, automotive, software, transportation, financial services, and retail.I am committed to developing talent and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Leveraging my engineering background, CIPP/E certification, and patent bar license, I anticipate challenges and opportunities in dynamic, competitive industries.
