BHF 4-year studentship at the National Heart and Lung Institute (NHLI) in partnership with the Bioengineering Department at Imperial College. Project: Flexible polymeric pacemaker leads Supervisors: Professor Rylie Green, Dr Fu Siong Ng and Dr Josef Goding. The project will aim to explore fabrication methods for scaled-up manufacturing of novel Conductive Elastomer pacemaker leads and to explore their methods of fixation, analyse robustness of adhesion, assess tissue damage, characterising mechanical and electrical properties, then assessing safety and efficacy with ex vivo and in vivo studies. The leads will be implanted chronically and ability to pace the heart will be assessed along with tissue damage analysis. MRI studies will also be conducted to assess MRI compatibility of the devices.

Dedicated, inquisitive and proactive Microengineer passionate about biomedical technologies and improving medical therapies.Having worked in different fields, from compliant mechanisms design to MRI safety, etc. I was able to develop a polyvalent background and a set of skills that allows me to think outside of the box and solve problems efficiently.I will be pursuing a PhD at Imperial College to develop Flexible polymeric pacemaker leads, a project funded by the British Heart Foundation (BHF)
