About Brad Ross
As the Founder and Mining Education Advocate at the Global Mining Education Foundation, I lead efforts to establish an industry-driven global institute that is dedicated to professional development and certification in the mining sector. Our mission is to elevate the number of highly skilled professionals who contribute to this vital industry. With a career spanning over 35 years in mining and six years as a mining engineering Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona, my passion lies in enriching both the knowledge base and best practices of this critical field.In addition, I serve as the Co-Director and Founder of the Geotechnical Center of Excellence at the University of Arizona. Here, we bring together experts from academia and industry to tackle the most complex geotechnical challenges in mining. Our focus includes delivering high-quality professional development courses that are affordable.I am also the author of \"Rise To The Occasion - Lessons From The Bingham Canyon Mine Manefay Landslide,\" a book that showcases the importance of innovation, teamwork, and leadership for creating innovation.
