Bradley J. Olson is a partner in Barnes & Thornburg’s Washington, D.C, office and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. For more than 25 years, Mr. Olson has been involved in all aspects of client counseling on intellectual property acquisition and licensing issues. With respect to patent litigation, his experience includes the handling of trial practice, retaining experts and consultants for trial, coordinating jury focus groups, and preparing witnesses for testimony. He has negotiated complex intellectual property transfer agreements, including litigation settlements, licenses, and computer software and hardware agreements. Mr. Olson advises clients on patentability, infringement, and validity issues, including anti-counterfeiting enforcement and industrial design matters. Mr. Olson has been recognized as an “IP Star” by Managing Intellectual Property Magazine for the years 2013 through 2021. Recognized as a \"Best Lawyers in America for 2022\" in the Intellectual Property Litigation area. After graduating from Central Connecticut State University with a B.A. in biology, he earned his M.S. in biology from the University of Connecticut. Mr. Olson earned his J.D. and Master of Intellectual Property Law degrees from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law. Mr. Olson is admitted before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, U.S. District Court for the E.D. of Michigan, U.S. District Court for the E. D. of Wisconsin, U.S. District Court for the E.D. of Texas, U.S. Court of International Trade, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
