About Bradley Davis
Dr. Bradley R. Davis is the Chief of the Division of General Surgery, Section Chief for Colon and Rectal Surgery, Professor and Vice Chair Sugery - Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. His responsibilities include building and leading the colon and rectal surgery program with the Charlotte Health system.Previously he served as Vice Chair, Surgical Education in the Department of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. He completed his General Surgery Residency at the University of Cincinnati in June of 2001 and was the recipient of the Max Zinninger Award given to the Department’s top graduate. After completing a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care, he entered the Air Force. During his three years on active duty, Dr. Davis was the Medical Director for the Center for Sustainment of Trauma and Readiness Skills in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the recipient of the Curtis Lemay Award and the Meritorious Service Award for his contributions to the Air Force Medical Corps.Dr. Davis completed his colon and rectal fellowship at the Lahey Clinic, in Boston Massachusetts in 2005.Dr. Davis has presented at national and international meetings, and is the author of multiple peer reviewed research articles. He has participated in a variety of national meetings as both a hands on instructor, lecturer and course director for minimally invasive colorectal surgery. He serves on multiple loco-regional and national committees and is the immediate past president of the American Cancer Society, Southwest Region. He is a member of the Research Council for the Association of Program Directors in Surgery and the Written Examination Committee for the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.Dr. Davis was raised in Rochester, NY and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors, from The Johns Hopkins University.
