As a Senior Consultant in Arete\'s Cyber Strategy and Defense team, I serve as a virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) and virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) for our clients. In this executive advisory role, I collaborate with customers to provide high-level security guidance, thought leadership, and programmatic engagement to enhance their security posture and mitigate cyber risk. My responsibilities include delivering client-specific reports on Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Tests, creating comprehensive security program roadmaps, conducting Security Program and Controls Assessments, facilitating Security Education & Awareness Training, and providing executive-level guidance and reporting to client executives. To ensure success in my role, I focus on driving achievement in key areas such as Client Management, Project Leadership, Performance Management, Process Oversight, Utilization, Quality Assurance, Customer Satisfaction, and Execution. Through these efforts, I strive to exceed client expectations and deliver the highest level of value to their organizations. Duties include, but not limited to: • Assist clients in the development of long-term security and compliance goals, articulate strategies, define metrics, and provide necessary updates to executive leadership and Board of Directors, as requested by the client. • Communicate the value of information security throughout all levels of the organization stakeholders. • Advise cybersecurity requirements to be integrated into the continuity planning for that system and/or organization. • Facilitate overall enterprise information security architecture with the organization’s overall security strategy. • Identify alternative information security strategies to address organizational security objectives while supporting business goals. • Advise senior management on cost/benefit analysis of information security programs, policies, processes, systems, and elements.
