ABOUT BRADLEY ROBERTS

I’m a science leader working at the intersection of research, education, industry, and global capacity building — focused on expanding who gets to participate in, and shape, the future of computational science and artificial intelligence. As Chief Executive Officer of Neuromatch, I lead a global nonprofit advancing high-quality training, career development and field-building at the intersection of computational science, AI, and neuroscience — reaching early-career researchers across 135+ countries. I lead multi-year organisational strategy, oversee a diverse portfolio of global programmes and provide CFO-level financial stewardship across a ~$3M annual budget. I work closely with our board, funders, academic institutions, and industry partners to build sustainable, mission-aligned collaborations. Before Neuromatch, I held strategy and funding roles at the UK Dementia Research Institute and Wellcome, where I managed large-scale research portfolios (up to £600M), designed major funding programmes, supported early-career researcher development, and led initiatives to improve global equity in access to research funding and training.Earlier in my career, I trained as a neuroscientist at the University of Oxford, where my research focused on astrocyte–dopamine interactions and mechanisms relevant to Parkinson’s disease.
