Research developments in US industrial relations, bargaining trends, work stoppages, organizing campaigns, labor law and current events;•Collect, manage, and analyze data;•Draft comprehensive reports and make recommendations based on data analysis;•Maintain and update function databases;•Partner with the Administrator/Paralegal to manage the legal case docket;•Assist Labor Counsel with investigation of unfair labor practice charge allegations and supporting case law;•Assist in designing and presenting Frontline Workplace Law, Positive Workplace Development, Campaign Communications, and Managing in a Union Workplace training programs;•Develop ALPG presentations and materials;•Review disciplines,draft grievance responses, and conduct case investigations;•Prepare information updates, news alerts and other written materials for publication on internal intrasite;•Prepare templates, letters, flyers, powerpoints, and other materials to support core strategic industrial relations work;•Update the ALPG intranet site; and•Provide guidance and collaborate with HR on light duty assignments, leave of absence requests, and reasonable workplace accommodations;•Provide on-site support and manage campaign strategy;•Assist in the administration of strategic workplace initiatives;•Provide guidance and collaborate with local management on strike contingency planning; and•Second chair negotiations (eventual first chair responsibility possible)•The Labor Relations Manager may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
