About Brad Crofford
I believe in improving government (and lives) by helping others move from COMPLEXITY to CLARITY to ACTION.I\'m an experienced performance auditor with a focus on defense programs, able to learn new topics quickly to deliver authoritative reports that inform policymakers and drive reforms. I\'m an effective communicator who can work in a range of formats and settings, drawing on my diverse background in government report-writing, academic writing, technical writing, journalism, and marketing. As an auditor, I\'ve worked with and briefed agency leadership, senior executives, and congressional staff. I\'m a leader and doer, able to manage a team while ready to roll up my sleeves. I\'m a lifelong learner with degrees in public affairs, international studies, politics and law, and cultural and communication studies. Outside academia, I\'ve studied leadership, data analysis with R, and space policy, and I\'m always on the lookout for opportunities to learn something new. I\'m a believer in the value of both the government and private sectors, having worked in the federal government, non-profits, and leaders in the home mortgage and healthcare software industries. I\'m a third culture kid, having spent over 10 years growing up in West Africa and Haiti and with an ongoing interest in sub-Saharan Africa.
