About Brad Boydston

My purpose is to cultivate growth in the lives of people and churches, so that through my care, teaching, and preaching they may more fully participate in the mission of God. I have been a minister in the Evangelical Covenant Church since 1984, serving as a missionary, pastor, church planter, educator, chaplain, and denominational leader. I have pastored churches in Phoenix, Arizona; Turlock, California; Bedford, Texas; and Selah, Washington. In addition, I have served on the teaching faculty and staff of Pacific Islands University on the island of Guam since 2007. Before retiring I served as the lead chaplain at Covenant Living of Florida, in Plantation, Florida. Other responsibilities past and present: • President of the Covenant Ministerium. • Secretary of the Covenant Ministerium. • Member of the Evangelical Covenant Church’s Board of the Ordered Ministry and its executive committee. • Taught Vocational Excellence classes to newly credentialed ministers in the Covenant Orientation program. • Church planting coach (anglo & “ethnic” congregations) • Chair of the Management Advisory Committee at Covenant Village of Turlock. • President of TEAM (Turlock Evangelical Association of Ministers) • Member of the Turlock Community-University task force. • Volunteer chaplain at Emanuel Medical Center, Turlock, California. • Field education supervisor for students from Dallas Theological Seminary, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, Trinity Theological College. • Area representative for North Park Theological Seminary.
