As an advocate for organ donors and their loved ones, Brad Adams protects the gifts of the most selfless people in the world and removes barriers to their ability to leave a life-saving gift. A strategic and decisive leader, Brad sees the work of the entire donation community as wholly dependent on the public’s trust, and he works tirelessly to earn, keep, and protect it.Brad joined Southwest Transplant Alliance in 2015, and today serves as its President. An accomplished attorney and certified public accountant who leads with empathy, connection, and intellect, Brad regularly champions efforts to provide for a reliable and effective donation framework at both the state and national levels. He helps drive healthcare policies and decisions that ensure the donation and transplantation system in the United States is fair, accessible, transparent, and accountable, and he collaborates with healthcare leaders and law enforcement officials throughout Texas to align donation with other public priorities.Brad stewards the public’s investment in donation through the responsible and conservative use of the organization’s financial resources, ensuring the mission of saving lives through donation continues well into the future. He counsels the organization’s board of directors on matters related to corporate governance and risk management, and has led the organization’s quality and compliance functions, successfully shepherding the organization through multiple accreditation reviews and audits.He is a strong and effective communicator, leading the organization’s marketing, communications, government affairs, and crisis communications efforts, and he serves as an ex-officio board member of Donate Life Texas, advocating on behalf of the Glenda Dawson Donate Life Texas Registry, one of the most successful donation registries in the nation. Brad also speaks frequently at the local, state, and national levels on various topics, including corporate governance, legislative affairs, financial stewardship, and crisis communications, as well as several other topics unique to organ donation.Selected as a member of Leadership Dallas through the Dallas Regional Chamber, Brad believes in the importance of giving back through service to his community. He has provided leadership and counsel to several Dallas-area non-profit organizations, including the Southwestern Diabetic Foundation, Housing Crisis Center, Southern Methodist University, the Dallas Bar Association, and the Dallas Independent School District.
