About Brad West
I am a DevOps and Linux systems professional with a background supporting messaging systems for the U.S. Department of Defense. Early in my career, I served as an active-duty Marine and later as a DoD contractor supporting secure messaging environments for the Marine Corps.In recent years, I have worked in engineering teams, but my best work has always been internet glue. I prefer writing shell scripts to heavy application code. I design and run deployment pipelines and build command-line automation in Bash, Ruby, or Python. I also enjoy writing clear operating procedures and turning repetitive tasks into one-click tools that speed up development teams.
