I am currently leading a team of mechanical equipment engineers to design a series of nuclear gloveboxes and associated equipment. Led a team of engineers to design a pyrolysis furnace on a project that converts biomass into fuel and biochar into a soil supplement. Lead mechanical engineer on a project that reclaims a valuable mineral from castings. The mineral is retrieved using a sulfuric acid leaching process. Worked as the lead piping engineer on a refinery expansion project. Of note was the development of clad piping specifications for 317L stainless steel and C276 Hastelloy. The specifications included weld overlay fittings. Led a team of engineers and designers on a Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) to energy project. The design included a pyrolysis furnace that captured and cleaned syngas. The syngas fuels a boiler for a steam turbine generator. Lead mechanical engineer on the Range Fuels pyrolysis ethanol project. Developed a furnace that utilized high temperatures to devolotize woodchips. The biogas was then processed to produce biofuel. Also led the team to design a Heat Regeneration Steam Generator (HRSG) for the plant. Personally specified and oversaw the procurement of over 9 million dollars of equipment.
