About Brad Tietz
With more than 15 years of experience working in and around Illinois and Chicago government and politics, Brad is seen as one of the State’s leading and most effective advocates for Illinois’ business community and economic development. In his current role as Vice President of Government Relations and Strategy at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, Brad works to ensure the adoption of pro-growth and pro-business public policies at the State of Illinois, City of Chicago, and Cook County levels on behalf of the Chamber’s over members ranging from Fortune 100 companies to startups. From serving as the lead legislative staffer on the Illinois House Revenue and Labor committees, to serving as the Legislative Director for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, to his current role with the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, Brad has leveraged his knowledge of legislative process and public policies impacting businesses across every sector, and his wide network of trusted and deep relationships in government, the private sector, trade groups, the media, and with many other stakeholders to lobby, negotiate, and achieve positive public policy outcomes for Illinois and Chicago businesses. Issue areas Brad has focused on range from taxes and workplace, tech, and healthcare regulations, to energy and environment issues, to economic, community, and workforce development. Brad has introduced and shepherded into law many economic and workforce development initiatives in his various capacities, and successfully stopped countless anti-business proposals at the State, City, and County levels, while elevating the profile and brand of every organization he has represented with elected officials and stakeholders across the political spectrum in many different and unique ways. In his current role, Brad also develops the Chamber’s legislative agenda, manages the Chamber’s Political Action Committee, represents and speaks publicly on behalf of the Chamber at various events and forums, and organizes events throughout the year with Chamber members, and elected and government officials. Brad currently lives on the northwest side of Chicago with his wife, son, and daughter.
