I have tried cases in state and federal courts and have arbitrated cases before domestic and international tribunals. I have extensive experience litigating complex business disputes involving a wide range of claims, including breach of contract, business torts, consumer fraud and unfair business practices, class actions, and civil RICO violations. In the insurance area, I have represented policyholders in disputes involving general liability, property, fidelity and crime, professional liability, and mortgage insurance policies. I also maintain an active pro bono practice representing clients in significant civil rights and constitutional litigation before trial and appellate courts across the United States, including the US Supreme Court. I have received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs, where I currently serve on the Board of Directors.
