I’ve spent the past 15+ years leading global engineering teams and scaling the behind-the-scenes systems that millions rely on every day. My journey along the way, from a software engineer to an executive leader, reflects a consistent focus on building resilient systems and leading high-performing teams. I lead large-scale cloud transformations and distributed systems design, having directed full-stack migrations to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and hybrid cloud deployments across AWS. My expertise spans event-driven architectures, scalable storage, and production-grade AI/ML pipelines—delivering 99.99%+ uptime while accelerating innovation. Throughout my career, I have led teams of all sizes and technical disciplines, and in the process I’ve grown teams from 290 to 500+ engineers, launched mentorship and retention programs, and significantly boosted delivery velocity. My leadership focus is on operational excellence, technical clarity, and empowering engineers through strong alignment and culture. My background includes large-scale infrastructure, distributed messaging and storage systems, and critical internet services at massive scale. I\'m a named inventor on multiple database patents, an Apache Pulsar committer, and an early adopter of generative AI (and previously, deep learning, ML). I\'m passionate about translating technology vision into scalable systems that support product velocity, global growth, and long-term technical health.
