Storytelling and stage craft can help you communicate that to the world in a personal way. It can help the people inside your company connect with the people outside, be they clients, investors, potential partners, or even critics. It can build trust and confidence that goes beyond brand.In my work as a corporate coach, I have seen the look of revelation come over someone’s face when they realize that the defining experiences they carry around with them every day can be turned into their most powerful tool for connection and persuasion, and that they can connect with an audience in a natural, compelling, and organic way. It is my favorite part of the job-Brad Lawrence has performed and taught storytelling around the world for Fortune 500 companies, scrappy start-ups, or in personal one on one sessions with people who wanted to advance professionally, perform on stage, or simply learn to connect in a more meaningful and intimate way with the people in their lives. As a coach with the Story Studio and RISK, he has worked closely with CEOs, TED Talk presenters, and aspiring performers to help them become great storytellers. He has co-produced and performed in storytelling and variety shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, South By Southwest Interactive, and in conjunction with WBUR, USA Network, Grant’s Whiskey and Casper Mattress.
