About Brad Kushner

As an experienced Labor and Employment attorney with Stevens & Lee, a full-service law firm, I defend employers against wage and hour claims brought under state and federal law, along with claims under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and state anti-discrimination laws. I have represented clients in class actions and collective actions throughout the country, and I have successfully defended employers against unfair labor practice charges filed with the National Labor Relations Board. A substantial part of my practice involves representing employers and individuals in connection with non-compete and restrictive covenant litigation. I also counsel employers on compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and I represent companies in OSHA litigation. I am a contributor to the nationally recognized treatise, Occupational Safety and Health Law, published by the American Bar Association and the Bureau of National Affairs.In addition to representing clients in court and administrative tribunals, I conduct internal investigations on behalf of employers involving alleged or suspected violations of workplace safety rules, anti-discrimination and harassment avoidance policies and other employment-related policies and general employee grievances in order to help employers maintain strong employee relations and avoid costly lawsuits. I advise clients on various labor issues, from responding to union organizing attempts to administering collective bargaining agreements and responding to grievances. During law school I served as judicial extern to the Honorable Theodore McKee of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Judicial Circuit.I am a volunteer attorney with the Support Center for Child Advocates, providing legal representation and social service advocacy for abused and neglected children in Philadelphia.
