Provide support to plant capital and continuous improvement projects in a 350-employee non-union manufacturing plant, working across Manufacturing, Injection Molding, Metal Stamping, HR, Maintenance & Toolroom departments. • Responsible for managing the implementation of lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives utilizing 5S, Andon, Continuous Flow, Gemba, JIT, Kaizen, Kanban, KPIs, Seeing Waste, PDCA, RCA, Standard Work, Takt Time, Visual Factory to facilitate various manufacturing improvements within the division and increase productivity and efficiency. • Partner with plant leadership and teams to identify high areas of scrap and areas of concern to implement proper corrective actions. • Accountable for specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning of molding cells utilizing electric-injection molding machines. • Develop and implement monthly project review process updating project-related risks, challenges and lessons learned with leadership. • Estimate workforce utilization and related costs by conducting time studies to provide information for staffing decisions. • Collaborate with multiple technical disciplines of mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers, technical writers, and document control administrators. • Optimize production flow through layout and process changes at the department and plant levels. • Successfully lead 7+ projects ranging in size ~250K providing a cost savings benefit equaling $380K annually. • Facilitator of 12 Kaizen events which focused on safety and productivity in assembly areas resulting in increased productivity of over 25%. • Reduced injection molding downtime for one department by 38% by creating a mold PM program • Created and implemented 3 training programs that improved employee engagement and decreased equipment downtime by 15% YTD.
