About Brad Florio
Trader at Citadel’s Ashler Capital. Ashler Capital is a value-oriented market-neutral equity business that combines a fundamental investment approach and strong relationships with management teams in an effort to achieve consistently high risk-adjusted returns through investments in undervalued public at Goldman Sachs I executed globally for clients across a range of products including one delta, synthetics and options. In my role I took a holistic approach to covering accounts (predominantly hedge funds) working from a macro perspective down to micro— with a focus on equities. A large portion of my time was spent on best execution developments, through work on market microstructure and ultimately algo customization. I worked with various data sets, third party providers such as Bloomberg, as well as internal teams. The average day ranged from trading in multiple products in multiple regions, to crossing blocks, to having syndicate discussions and lastly to making algo adjustments to increase execution quantity over impact. Prior to working at Goldman, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fordham University, as the Salutatorian for the Class of 2016. At Fordham I studied Finance— focusing on Value Investing and Alternative Investments. I am fortunate to have had an extensive education in Finance, Economics, and Strategy. Outside of my education at Fordham, I attended an elite program at the London School of Economics which taught Business Analysis and Valuation. Roughly 120 students were selected from around the world to participate in the course, and there were over 100 countries represented in the broader program. The program was one of the best experiences of my life. It gave me a unique perspective and a new way to think critically. I studied with the best and brightest from around the world, and I learned how to interpret financial statements, and recast pro forma statements in their place (reflecting additional information). I enjoy being in a market facing role— thinking globally about strategy and market dynamics. I strive to be ever-evolving as the financial landscape is constantly changing.
