My role centers on evaluating and structuring complex financing requests for Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), mission-based lenders, and foundations. Through this role, I combine technical expertise with mission-driven impact, helping expand access to affordable housing and fostering equitable community development. Underwrote over $150 million in loans supporting the development and preservation of affordable housing. Serve as a team leader and project assignor, acting as liaison between underwriting staff and senior management to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in loan analyses. Provide underwriting support for pre-development, construction, acquisition, and permanent financing of multifamily housing projects leveraging Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Tax-Exempt Bonds, New Market Tax Credits (NMTC), and other public and private funding sources. Analyze and underwrite commercial business loans for CDFIs financing mission-based organizations that strengthen community development. Manage the receipt of due diligence information and maintain communication with CDFIs and borrowers throughout the underwriting process. Led the development of a standardized credit memo template, streamlining workflows and improving underwriting efficiency and production.
