ABOUT BRAD EVANS

As one of the Managing Directors at Ward and Smith, I focus on helping clients navigate complex legal disputes with a practical, results-driven approach in civil litigation matters in federal and state courts. My practice covers a wide range of civil litigation, with an emphasis on commercial, business, estate, professional licensing, and intellectual property matters. I’ve handled cases at every stage—depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, jury trials, and appeals. I frequently represent contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in construction disputes, as well as businesses dealing with trade secret misappropriation and intellectual property infringement. I also have significant experience in agribusiness litigation, particularly corporate dissolution, contract, and antitrust disputes. When corporate and partnership conflicts arise, I often litigate them before the North Carolina Business Court. As a certified Superior Court mediator, I bring a solution-oriented mindset to every case, helping clients explore all available options for resolution. Before joining Ward and Smith, I clerked for the Honorable Malcolm J. Howard of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, an experience that deepened my understanding of judicial decision-making and trial strategy.
