Dahl Farms is a 5th generation family farm that started as a small dairy farm milking 200 cows that progressed to a potato seed business with 4 warehouses and products sold locally and in the southern part of Texas and Louisiana. They currently grow sugar beets, corn, soybeans, and wheat. In 1974, Dahl Farms became founding shareholders in a Red River Valley Coop which grew to 5 processing plants of American Crystal Sugar Company. This was a good move since the potato industry was moving away for dry land potatoes to irrigation.
