About Brad Blake

I have served in north-American urban ministry and African missions for the past 32 years. Currently, I am taking a break from the rigors of African cross-cultural ministry to focus on my family with my wife and 4 children. I began teaching World Geography at Craigmont High School in Memphis, Tennessee in the fall of 2010. Following the Craigmont experience in 2011, I am continued teaching World History in Shelby County Tennessee at Millington High School while coaching girl\'s softball. In 2012, I was blessed to be sent by Shelby County Schools to be equipped to teach AP US History at Ole Miss. While there, I met a US History teacher from Vicksburg Mississippi who was leaving Warren Central High. He connected me with the Warren Central principal who hired me to teach history which led to my instruction being expanded to teach AP World History then helping to create AP European History. In 2015, I was selected to be a part of the University of Mississippi Principal Corps. In the fall of 2015, I served as an administrative intern at Sumner Hill Jr. High School in Clinton Mississippi. In the spring of 2016, I worked in the same capacity at Lovett Elementary in Clinton Mississippi. In July of 2016, I began serving as an assistant principal at Vicksburg High School. In 2017, Vicksburg High shifted toward career academies placing me as the Communication, Arts, and Business (CAB) Academy principal. From 20••••20, I shifted to be the Health & Human Services (HHS) Academy principal at Vicksburg High. In April of 2020, I was selected to become a Trojan and serve as the principal of Magee High School in Simpson County, Mississippi. In July of 2021, I was invited to serve as the principal of the public 7-12 secondary school of Riverside High in Washington County Mississippi in Bulldog Nation. In September of 2022, I was privileged to accept an opportunity closer to home in Jackson Mississippi by serving as the Lanier High assistant principal!
