ABOUT BRAD BIXLER
I am in my third year growing a virtual school from the ground floor. I have continued offering innovative ideas and strategies to develop and equip Baltimore City to be more efficient and streamline services through the virtual platform. The school is in the top 3 in Mathematics and made considerable accomplishments in reading. We have taken a program that didn\'t exist a few years ago and built a thriving ecosystem of learning that is flourishing and producing results that rival some of the best schools in Baltimore City. As technologists, we are immersed in planning and project management with stakeholders, parents, and students. In this role, the planning involves implementing new ideas with more administration, stakeholders, community members, and outside vendors to ensure everything works as expected and is implemented with fidelity. Incorporating new technologies and strategies into the virtual learning platform has allowed us to try new things to increase student learning and engagement in the classroom. We are pushing the cusp of education and transition learning in the next century.
