I am a health system digital and virtual care leader specializing in the design, governance, and scale of enterprise clinical platforms that extend care beyond physical walls. I am the architect of the Presence Layer — an enterprise framework that connects virtual care, computer vision, and intelligent clinical environments into a governed, scalable system of care delivery.I currently lead the technical architecture, infrastructure, and delivery of Virtual Care and Computer Vision at UC San Diego Health, overseeing hardware, software, Epic build, integrations, and cross-functional execution across inpatient, ambulatory, and emerging care models. My work sits at the intersection of clinical workflow, enterprise technology, and operational reality translating innovation into durable, governed systems.My portfolio has included inpatient telemedicine, virtual nursing, eSitter programs, ambulatory video visits, remote monitoring, compliance and safety camera platforms, and AI-enabled computer vision, all delivered with an emphasis on scalability, security, clinical adoption, and long-term sustainability.I am a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association (FAMIA) and have served on AMIA’s Public Policy Committee, contributing to national dialogue and policy shaping in health IT, informatics, and emerging technologies. I have co-authored peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters focused on telehealth, mobile medicine, governance, and real-world implementation, and I regularly speak and guest lecture on virtual care architecture, data strategy, and technology governance.Earlier in my career, I worked across clinical informatics, portfolio management, EMS systems, and emergency services, experiences that continue to shape my bias toward safety, reliability, and operational clarity in complex environments.My focus is on building enterprise digital care platforms and shaping AI and virtual care governance at the intersection of technology, clinical operations, and health system strategy.Outside of work, I volunteer with Team Rubicon and A Walk on Water, Row every morning and am happiest on, in, or near the water.
