About Boxi Xu
My current expertise and focus is to build supply chain forecasting and planning software, that enables optimization and resilience in e-commerce supply chain. In plain words, this means items are in stock when customers shop online (or in store), and packages get delivered fast and cheap, which can get really complex really quick with competition to deliver faster (2 day->1 day->hours), evolving economic conditions, globalized supply chain, and a long tail of selections that customer want to shop online. I leverage technologies like data science, machine learning and automation to achieve the desired results, and I\'m motivated to keep the solutions beautifully simple and practical.In previous life, I had opportunities to take on various challenging roles:(1) building multi-carrier platform for Amazon sellers to purchase shipping labels, introducing features such as ML-based discounts, flat-rate shipping to help sellers to provide low-cost and fast shipping to buyers;(2) building and leading a team of program managers and business analysts to support new initiatives at Amazon;(3) negotiating and setting up global transportation contracts for ExxonMobil.
