About Bowen Wilder

I built the entire data and analytics function for an RNG company from nothing. No dashboards, no reports, no forecasting, no governance — just raw SCADA data and a lot of questions nobody had answers to. Now I own production analytics, forecasting, and executive reporting across 7 facilities in the US and Canada, processing 60–70 million data points daily. The work I do directly supports $45M in annual renewable energy credit revenue. I build the forecasts that inform trading decisions, the dashboards that operations teams rely on daily, and the compliance reporting that keeps us on the right side of the EPA. When I found a regulatory discrepancy in how we were capturing data intervals across our US plants, I reconfigured the entire query process, recalculated the data, and resubmitted — protecting our full RIN credit revenue stream before it became an audit problem.I reduced our monthly and quarterly reporting cycle from about two weeks to under two days. I standardized SCADA tags across the fleet, built data dictionaries, and created the governance framework that makes cross-site analysis actually possible. I\'m currently leading a predictive maintenance initiative with a Japanese MNC — anomaly detection on compressor systems, A/B testing at a pilot site, with plans to scale across the fleet. Before renewable energy, I spent two years as a market research analyst covering industrial automation and energy markets, and before that I studied Environmental Science & Public Policy at St. Edward\'s University. The through-line has always been the same: using data to make sense of complex systems that matter.I\'m not just building dashboards — I\'m trying to build the kind of data culture where a 30-person company can make decisions like a company ten times its size. That\'s the work I care about.I actively invest in data leadership development through 1:1 coaching with Tristan Burns (former Global Head of Data & Analytics at Pizza Hut Digital Ventures) and completed the Data Leaders Playbook cohort with Benjamin Rogojan (The Seattle Data Guy) — a six-month program focused on strategic positioning, executive communication, and transitioning from technical contributor to data leader.Currently advancing my technical toolkit in time-series forecasting (ARIMA/SARIMA), analytics engineering (dbt, Airflow), and cloud architecture (AWS).Always interested in connecting with people working at the intersection of data and energy. If you\'re building a data function in renewables or climate tech, I\'ve probably made the same mistakes you\'re about to make.
