   Communicates routinely with the Capital Improvement Project team on all project related matters such as Applications for payment review, RFI’s, contractor change requests, daily field issues, delays, safety concerns etc.Communicates routinely with school Principals and maintenance staff, the Regional Maintenance Manager, and the Regional Superintendent to become familiar with the overall condition of the schools within a specified region of the DeKalb County School District and to act as a liaison between the operations Department and those schools.Uses Project Management software tools to track, analyze and improve key parameters relative to construction projects.Coordinates with the DeKalb County School District (DCSD) staff and stakeholders and may provide support in public meetings.Comprehends all construction disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, plumbing and able to develop an integrated project schedule.Identifies and reports quality problems and recommends changes where needed to the Construction Manager. Recommends changes in programs or procedures and follows up to ensure compliance; reviews reports for completeness and that test results match what is required in the Design and Construction procedures.Coordinates with other departments; provides guidance to team members regarding specific projects; works with team members to identify methods to improve the project and the end results.Works with Georgia Department of Education, other state entities, code officials and local departments. Utilizes Bidding and Procurement methods effectively.Prepares budgets, makes recommendations, and researches industry trends in school construction.Develops correspondence letters, memos, report, and status updates as requested and /or assigned.Manages all phases of multiple school projects from Pre-Design through Postconstruction for the Capital Improvements Program to ensure projects are completed on schedule within budget.
