ABOUT MELISSA BOSWELL
I’m the Founder and CEO of Rethink Health, where we are reimagining how people manage osteoarthritis and chronic pain. Our flagship program, Rethink Osteoarthritis, helps people stay active, move with greater confidence, and live fuller lives. My work sits at the intersection of biomechanics, psychology, and digital health. I’m fascinated by how the way we think about our bodies influences how we move, heal, and perform—and how technology can help scale healthier behaviors. Previously, I served as VP of Science & Research at a human performance institute, leading teams developing new tools to capture and analyze human movement using biomechanics and AI. I earned my PhD in Bioengineering from Stanford, where I studied neuromuscular biomechanics and continued through postdoctoral research. I love translating complex science into practical tools that improve people’s lives. I’ve also co-created and hosted the Biomechanics On Our Minds (BOOM) podcast and teach yoga, both of which reflect my passion for making science and movement more accessible and human.
