Looking to expand my knowledge and competencies to areas of integrated photonics design and simulation. • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Technion - a renowned Israeli science and technology research university • 15+ years career in leading optical telecommunication gear innovators and suppliers (Lumentum, Infinera, and Neophotonics) • Extensive R&D experience with advanced optical/photonic devices, including a variety of continuous wave (CW) and pulsed lasers, erbium-doped fiber (EDFA) and semiconductor optical (SOA) amplifiers, modulators, integrated transmitter and receiver modules, and line cards for direct detection and coherent transmission systems • Expertise in development, setting up, integration, and troubleshooting of automated testers for characterization and performance verification of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) from chip on carrier (CoC) thru line card levels, including narrow-linewidth tunable lasers, amplifiers, integrated laser, amplifier and modulator chips, PIC-based modules and subsystems, coherent transmission components and line cards • Proficiency in use of optical/communications/electrical test and measurement (T&M) equipment, including optical/RF detectors and spectrum analyzers, wavelength and power meters, fast real-time and sampling oscilloscopes, arbitrary waveform/pattern generator, vector network (VNA), lightwave component (LCA) and optical modulation (OMA) analyzers • T&M control and data acquisition automation with Python, C#, C++, Visual Basic, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and HP VEE • Data analysis and simulation skills in JMP, Excel, Python, and MATLAB
