About Boris Gomes

I lead the Design Center of Excellence at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories called Studio 5B. My work is focused on helping teams think through complex problems and translate intent into experiences that are clear, usable, and grounded in real human needs. In healthcare especially, I believe how something is designed can quietly shape trust, behaviour, and outcomes.My background is not a straight line. I studied literature and psychology before finding my way into design and digital work, and that mix still influences how I approach problems. I tend to observe first, ask questions, and spend time understanding context before moving to solutions.Earlier in my career, I worked with design firms like DY Works and FITCH, where I helped build digital practices, worked closely with clients, and led teams on projects across brands such as Decathlon, Wendy’s, Pantaloons, and Dr. Reddy’s. These experiences taught me as much about people and organisations as they did about design.I am interested in work that is thoughtful, practical, and honest. I care about craft, but I care more about whether something is useful and whether it makes the right thing easier to do. Over time, I’ve come to value judgement, empathy, and consistency far more than novelty or polish.
