About R. Brooks Borcherding

Brooks is a distinguished Cloud Industry pioneer credited with the development and productization of one of the first Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions dating back to 2009 through his current leadership of a leading multi-cloud services company, Cloudreach. Brooks is also recognized for leading two successful transactions including the sale of NaviSite to Time Warner Cable in 2011, Datto to Vista Equity Partners in 2017 and most recently Cloudreach to Atos in 2022. His overall enterprise technology careers spans more than three decades playing key roles with market leading firms including Accenture, Cisco and Avaya as well as his leadership of three Private Equity backed growth companies. Outside of work, Brooks’ main occupation is chasing his three children around youth sailing regattas. He also enjoys competing in almost any team sporting activity particularly when his team is victorious. Brooks is well known for his excessive dry wit, vastly exaggerated juggling skills, and professed knowledge of music from the 1980’s. One surprising fact, Brooks lived and worked in Paris for eight years but his limited linguistic skills impaired his ability to pick up the French language which he considers particularly embarrassing and remains a very sensitive topic of conversation.
