ABOUT PHEE BOON KANG
I have enjoyed a dynamic career in banking, leading retail business startups for Bank of America and Citigroup across four Asian countries, eventually taking on a senior management role at American Express. At 55, I founded Boon Associates LLC, where I served as a senior banking consultant in Taiwan, China, and Japan. I am also proud to have been part of the inaugural boards of Citibank Japan Ltd, China Guangfa Bank, and ezTravel in Taiwan.As Chair Emeritus of the Jane Goodall Institute Global and Honorary Chair of its Taiwan chapter, I played a pivotal role in establishing both organizations alongside many fellow supporters of Jane Goodall. Additionally, I serve as a Trustee at Beloit College, recognized as an innovative leader among small liberal arts colleges in the U.S.I love connecting with people from all walks of life—each unique perspective fuels my curiosity and growth. At the same time, I’m energized by today’s fast-paced tech advancements, but I also believe progress should go hand-in-hand with social responsibility.
