Hi, I’m Kirsten Elliot: voracious reader, dynamic writer and lit librarian from New Zealand, now based in England. Meaningful work is vital to me. I only partner with people, on projects and in organisations that align with my values because my overall wellbeing is key.Can you benefit from my expertise? Ideas machine for social media content, promotional products, library programming, and the reorganisation of information visually and functionally. Experienced writer of profiles and own voices articles (queer and disability), and short-form poetry, including running poetry workshops for adults and children in libraries, schools and community groups. Health science qualifications as well as lived experience of cancer, neurodiversity, and chronic physical and mental health disability (my husband’s and my own). Trusted and autonomous remote worker, managing tasks like time is *precious*.I’m the creational force behind HERstory, the digital archives project of my last NZ employer (Sacred Heart Girls’ College, Hamilton), and author of ‘Patient Property: a journey through leukaemia,’ shortlisted for The Haiku Foundation’s Touchstone Distinguished Books Award (2019).When I work, I want to be me, not just a job title!
