ABOUT BONNIE POHLAND
Pursuing dual degrees in International Affairs and Economics at James Madison University, I am invested in gaining a comprehensive understanding of international trade, security, and diplomacy. I am passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration and solving complex problems. My recent research has focused on transition economies, secure telecommunications technology, strengthening transatlantic partnerships, NLWs, and Baltic and Eastern European affairs. I am honored to be featured in the James Madison University News, sharing my experiences as part of the JMU X-Labs & Ellucian pilot cohort, European Union Delegation Schuman Challenge team, Hacking 4 Diplomacy program, and my thoughts on the state of American democracy in recent articles. As an inaugural member of the JMU College of Arts & Letters Student Advisory Council and former President of the Alexander Hamilton Society at JMU, I strive to foster new perspectives and serve my fellow students.
